More than Fostering: Building brighter futures that last.

Fosterplus was founded in 1996, with one guiding principle: children can thrive, when their home is loving, supportive and stable.

With over 30 years’ experience, we have seen the difference we can make to children’s futures when they have the opportunity to grow up with the same foster family.

It’s common for children in foster care to experience multiple moves from one family to another.  At Fosterplus, our aim is to break this cycle of disruption for every child in our care.

As an award-winning independent fostering agency, all of our England offices are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and our Scotland services are rated ‘Very Good’ in three of the four areas assessed by the Care Inspectorate, reflecting the high standards of care we provide and our commitment to positive outcomes for children and families.

By carefully matching the right foster parents to the right children and providing continuous support, guidance and help, we ensure that every child has the opportunity to stay with the same family for as long as they need.

about fosterplus

Connecting you with the services and support you need

We connect our social workers, education and care professionals together, and make sure they’re always available. We connect our foster parents to regular supervision and ongoing training, as well as to a network of other local carers. And we enjoy strong connections with local authorities, who recognise our commitment to creating positive futures.

All of this creates a strong feeling of stability and support which encourages continuity and long-term development, helping foster parents and children and young people step forward with confidence.

You are required to have a spare bedroom that’s always available to a foster child. The spare room cannot be shared, and must be big enough to fit a single bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

To be approved as a foster carer in the UK, you must be a British citizen or have the legal right to remain in the UK without restrictions that would prevent fostering.

The following questions are intended to help us understand your experience with children. Please note that prior experience is not required to become a foster carer, as full training will be provided.
