If you’re ready to get the ball rolling with your fostering assessment, you’ll need to complete an application form. This covers a range of things, including basic personal details and work history, but also asks about your personal circumstances and home life, and why you want to foster.
You can complete this online via a link that we’ll share with you. If you’d prefer to do it on paper, we’ll send you a form in the post.
When we get it back, our assessment manager will consider it in detail and if they’re happy, we’ll assign you a dedicated social worker to help you through the rest of the process. This starts with the fostering assessment, otherwise known as the ‘Form F’.
As well as your dedicated social worker, you’ll have continuous access to your local Fosterplus team throughout your assessment, so you’ll always feel well connected.
